Once again an interview with the wife, Semse, of one of the martyrs killed in the Christian publishing house in Turkey in 2007- and an encounter with a bit of a Kairos time us Westerners do not like! 😅
So the VOM worker was heading into the car with a pastor in Turkey (who spoke very broken English) and the phone rang, the pastor answered and spoke to Semse in loud, animated Turkish, the pastor turned to the worker and said "Not today, she too tired"
The VOM worker thought how could he have travelled all this way for nothing, but then he perceived a selfish attitude and turned his complaint into gratitude towards God and thanked God for the interviews he had already conducted.
So the worker and the pastor were having breakfast at a local Turkish cafe when a call came in again, it was Semse and she said "one hour".
Well, that one hour turned into eight with great company and fellowship (with a translator) and the VOM worker learned all about how Semse could only learn to forgive her husband's killers through God's power!
