@Carazaa In effect you judge them - as you said:-
So that might make some people mad that they have to admit they sin.
As I said, you see them through YOUR eyes and YOUR theology.
As Thomas Merton has said - and says truly, as this is how the One Source sees us all, eternally.
The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
This is the beginningof love. God does not wait for anybody to begin to conform to YOUR ideas regarding acceptance. When this is realised , which can happen in infinite ways according to the unique humanity of each, we move on from the beginningof Love.

When we are saved we have love for people. God changes us. Do you love a rapist, someone trying to kill you or steal from you, or hate you, do you love your enemies? Do you treat people the way YOU want to be treated like Jesus says, or how you think they deserve to be treated?

@Carazaa Sorry, you appear not to understand one word that I post.

@SW-User Have you gone into prisons and those who are murderers? Do you invite Christians for dinner? I invite atheists who tell me I am stupid. I do not preach to them, I feed them!

@Carazaa I have been an Age Concern Befriender for many years, visiting the lonely and isolated. I have 162 blood donations to my account. I gave platelets also, used they said for premature babies. I volunteered for three years on saturday mornings at a Sports Club for the physically handicapped. I did many volunteer days at a Playground for Special Needs Children. I have done 4hrs a week volunteer work for Oxfam for 10 years.
And I have NEVER given a toss about who I was helping, their colour or creed, and as per the fundamental Buddhist teaching, I have NEVER thought that I have ever gained one iota of merit or considered myself "saved" because of it.

@SW-User But do you love Christians, or those who hurt you, or despitefully use you?

@Carazaa Can't you read?
Please stop your pleas of self-justification - oh look at ME how loving I am!
It is becoming pathetic. It really is.

@SW-User Sounds like a good excuse to me...
Jesus says
"Anyone can love those who are nice to us, but I say Love your enemies and pray for those who despitefully use you, and hate you."

@Carazaa Your quotation is totally irrelevant in the context of our discussion.
Once again, though, you imply that only those who subscribe to YOUR theology could ever love their enemies, or pray for those who hate them. A reading of history demonstrates this to be false.
Typical of this is LadyGrace, who when I wished her well and sent her my best wishes she called me various names, refusing to see any possibility that I was sincere, which I was. She insisted it was not so.

@Carazaa Just to finalise, I gave you two longish quotes of Thomas Merton which basically supported all that I am seeking to say here. You reacted to his words with an emoji indicating agreement and approval, holding them close to your heart.
Sorry, but I can only presume that I myself am unclear in my own words, or your own reading comprehension is poor, and the actual significance of what is being said is simply missed by you.
But whatever, have a fruitful New Year.
"For the earth brings forth fruits of herself"

I have a different Jesus than Lady Grace has! I prayed about my response and that is what God told me in my heart to share with you, sorry you don't like that answer.

@Carazaa Well, we all have our own relationship with the Universal Christ. That is my point.
And to presume that you heard in your mind/heart the correct response to be made is just that.....presumption. The One Source cannot lie, but we can get our wires crossed at times. Nothing is guaranteed.
As far as LadyGrace, she called me a "liar", a "phoney" and a "troll". When I simply stated in a post that she had blocked me a friend of hers told me to stop "slagging her off", and said that she had been a great mentor to him. This after he himself had said that one of my own mentors, Thomas Merton, should be "thrown out of his monastery"!
Really, I am simply fed up with the whole attempt to have intelligent and fruitful dialogue with most of the Christians here. I truly wish no one ill - in Christian speak we are ALL sinners. In the Dharma we call it ignorance (avidya), the cause of all suffering.
As I posted elsewhere, for the moment I can be found on the Buddhist section.
Happy New Year. I sincerely wish you well. May you grow in Christ.
