Long-term antibiotic prescriptions are recognized to be dangerous and have not proven to be effective.

When sued by the Connecticut Attorney General, the IDSA submitted their Lyme disease treatment guidelines to independent review. The panel’s unanimous endorsement of those guidelines found no fault in them, and confirmed the fact that long-term antibiotic treatments were unproven and potentially dangerous @Carazaa
