The Christian reading mix

I've become cognizant of the fact i may not have all of the NIVAC, in the Historical Books bundle i don't see Ezra and Nehemiah!!! What the hell Zondervan, where'd you learn how to do bundles??!!

Today i am inaugurating a mix for the commentaries and the Christian studies in general, which i will lay forth here:

Ancient and really old Jewish sources:

Josephus
Philo
Zohar

Commentaries:

Genesis -- when i started getting the Genesis commentaries a week or so ago i thought i'd collect them in the order they appear in Protestant bibles, but that approach quickly proved unsatisfactory to me which would mean it would be ages before getting to certain books my interest level is high for, which the others in this mix seeks to remedy ... for Genesis i will be focusing on the NIVAC, the NICOT, and the WBC, along with some of the inexpensives such as Poole, Henry, Jamieson, Faucett & Brown, Calvin and Gill. Those shall be gone all together as reading cover to cover.

Psalms -- thankfully the NIVAC for Psalms is ranked #1, it would also be circumspect to include Spurgeon's 7 volume work on Psalms also.

Proverbs -- the NICOT version is ranked #1

Romans -- a few places to go here, i might want to just focus on Moo and Longenecker, Moo has also a shorter easier volume for NIVAC, plus a good reformed take from John Murray, Schreiner's Romans would be needed for another good reformed take. Once i finish at least one volume on this book will i reward myself by immersion into 2 of the best in the next Pauline epistle.

Revelation -- G.K. Beale's is ranked #1 and that will be my sole commentary on this book till i've read it all.

Theology:

This is where i formerly focused on, the usual suspects, plus Renewal Theology my gateway drug to the Charismatics

Puritans:

These are my top 5 Puritans

John Owen
Thomas Goodwin
William Perkins
Richard Sibbes
John Flavel

Orthodox:

The Philokalia is my main ticket here, plus i have an Orthodox study bible

Mysticism:

Evelyn Underhill
St. Teresa
St. John of the Cross

Patristics:

The main ones i will frequent in this period of time

Tertullian
Athanasius
Eusebius
Augustine

Christian Living:

Such folks as

C.S. Lewis
A.W. Tozer
R.J. Rushdoony
J.I. Packer
R.C. Sproul
David Jeremiah
Timothy Keller
