2nd Timothy and reminiscing

Wow it is nice to reminisce about our journey in Christ- nice fellowship with Christians in the town where I used to live and taking a few colleagues of mine to a lunchtime church service in the call centre I worked in (which was almost certainly a scam business).

But let's talk about the Apostle Paul.

Rather than just reading the letters can you imagine the reminiscing on his journey in Christ he did while wasting away in the Roman jail- the nights at sea,the sights, the fellowship he had with Christians across the world, the betrayals, the laughs and the good times.

Just incredible if you think about it.

I think of his boldness before Agrippa, when he was in Athens witnessing to the philosophers, dealing with those people on Malta, and the amount of abuse he took. I'm reminded of the end of Acts where Paul, I think, finally makes it to Rome...? and then it drops off about him, but God gets all of the glory, amen.

It's a shame that many people want to throw out Paul's writings as uninspired and only "his opinions."

Appreciate the thought, friend.
