Is it possible to maintain friendship with church people if you suddenly stop attending said church?

I mean I know it's possible. But as to how long it lasts...I don't know.

In my experience, it does not last.

If you don't already know, you'll figure out real quick which of the "church people" are really friends.

It's been about 15 years since I left Christianity. My contact list on my phone has 3 or 4 people I knew from church. In the first few years after I left there was another handful who would occasionally call or drop by.
