Revelations of Divine Love

The words of Julian of Norwich, from her "Revelations of Divine Love":-

‘I saw truly that our Lord was never angry, and never will be. Because he is God, he is good, he is truth, he is love, he is peace; and his power, his wisdom, his charity and his unity do not allow him to be angry ... God is that goodness which cannot be angry, for God is nothing but goodness.’

In theistic terms, I see it as true that, as Isaiah has it:-

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

The world of opposites must be so for finite human beings; nevertheless, the Godhead (the Source, Tao, Brahman etc etc) is beyond the opposites.

Meister Eckhart "I pray God to rid me of God”?

Eckhart is pointing to the difference between the Godhead and our concepts of God.

The path is to unite with the Godhead (i.e. become "nothing", selfless) then we can once more diversify. Safely.

Or, in Dogenspeak, "Realise non-duality within duality"
