Are gnostics trippin'?

I'm not trying to shit on gnostics but I think they are just lacking in knowledge (Funny cause gnosis means knowledge) when it comes to the general christian faith. They claim they are the true christian faith, while the modern bible has it wrong. But honestly, whatever Jesus of Nazareths religion was, seems to probably be what's in the four historical gospels as opposed to the Nag Hamidhi library. I say this for a few reasons 1)Paul the Apostle, as well as all the epistles, quote the four gospels and likewise their teachings are just more in line with it. 2)The nag hamadhi library is too reminicent of greek spirituality of the time, talking about demiurge and what not. Jesus of Nazareth wouldn't have been around any of that.

You are probably familiar with the work of Elaine Pagels and Bart D Ehrman on this subject.

Both write lucidly.
The Gnostic Gospels - Pagels
Lost Christianities -Ehrman.

But remember their perspective is that of Evangelical Christians who lost their faith. So be a little careful of them.
