I would call it a heresy but I wouldn't want to ruin the word.
It's pretty much if God likes you and you do enough for him he will reward you with material wealth and possessions. It's moved by greed and wealth accumulation. It's all the exact opposite of the biblical Jesus and therefore meets the definition of a heresy.
There is also the fact that there is high overlap between the prosperity gospel, evangelicals and republicanism. These are the same people that are turning against Jesus for being woke and replacing him with trump. As trump is more in line with prosperity values.
