There are those who use certain verses in the Bible only for their own benefit, like Satan who is a liar from the beginning who twists God's word. Some churches perform witchcraft saying things to gain money.
This is very different than loving God and wanting to obey him and give money so the gospel can go out to the whole world. We need to do that. And if we put God first then God will help us in our lives. He has promised
"Keep this book of the law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8

@Crazywaterspring most churches would not call it witchcraft but there is no difference between pagan witchcraft and some stuff going on in some congregations. Christ wants us to give generously but not to Satanic causes.
