So here's a religious theory. What if the Bible is just post Ragnarok?
So in norse paganism Baldor and Loki survived being that they are on opposing sides at Ragnarok makes sense that the constant battle between good and evil continues makes sense.

It doesn't matter which comes first. I think that summarizing the Bible as being about good vs. evil is unsophisticated for the simple reason that the terms good and evil are subjective. The Bible is about who is the ultimate authority of good and evil.
