A.W Milne set out to the mission field in 1785 to South Pacific, He knew that the tribe he was going to had killed every missionary

✨So he packed a coffin expecting to come back dead. When he died 35 years later, They wrote on his tombstone
[c=003BB2]"When he came there was no light, when he left there was no darkness!"[/c]

@saintsong 🙏Thank you ! Yes It's a beautiful story! The tribe loved him. And an Africans tribe loved my aunt when she served them for 50 years. They gave her handcrafted african ebony, ivory and wood gifts because they were so thankful. I have a necklace she gave to me when she came back from Africa. My daughter also went. I am so proud of her.

But the guy who tried to evangelize Sentinel Island was killed, probably after spreading disease to the natives.

@LeopoldBloom Yes, They've killed many that's why he brought a coffin, he expected to be killed!
@Carazaa He probably killed more of them by exposing them to diseases they had no resistance to. He also broke the law and the people who helped him get there are in jail now. Under Indian law, it's illegal for outsiders to approach Sentinel Island or bother the inhabitants. So Chao did far more harm than good, like many other missionaries.

I called the local DA in Missouri to ask if they were going to prosecute the group that sent Chao there (All Nations). They referred me to the FBI, but they weren't interested either. So you can stop with the "persecuted Christians" nonsense. If Chao had been sent by a Muslim group, the people who sent him would be in jail now for conspiring to break the laws of a foreign country.
