Therapy within Christianity

@Pitchblue and what do you think of this approach toward confession rather than therapy?

@Adwoa If you were being sexually assaulting by someone in the Church a confession would keep that information within the Church.

@Pitchblue Sorry but I can't agree with that. The churches that I know these days are very empathetic and also believe that God gave us doctors and Specialists to help us as well.

@ReflectionsInTime The Church protects their own like a political party. In the Evangelical Church they have rules about bringing rape charges against another member. You can not bring charges in the Church unless the rape was witnessed by a third party. That's pretty convenient if you are a rapist that belongs to an Evangelical Church.

@Pitchblue I don't think it's right to include or accuse churches you don't know about. Especially to point out one particular church, as if that covers them all. If you're going to do that, then you better point out all the faults of one of the other churches that is frequently in the news.

@ReflectionsInTime OK here's another little Fact about Christian Churches. Thousands of children were sexually assaulted while in the care of Christian Churches.

@Pitchblue Thousands, huh? 🤔 This only shows that evil men or women, are no respecter of persons or places. Christian churches could be any church.
