faith without works is dead...i cant find any proof of faith in many around me claiming to believe

obese from junk food, no teeth from heavy smoking, sewer pipe for a tongue, body covered in ink, 5 kids with various men.
Do you know their journey? Have you walked one step in their shoes? What are the good works and compassion you have shown to them? You do realize Jesus walked with the people you speak of? He ate, slept, kept their company…he spoke of loving your neighbor as yourself. He personified kindness and compassion for those who were judged and cast out for their outer appearance and perceived “sinful” nature.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror and do a thorough evaluation of yourself…your true inner self.

@Pinkstarburst is stealing works? Is bulling works? Is feeding the homeless works? You know people as good or bad by what they do.
@Baremine God sees the works of others and deems them righteous or not. He doesn’t need our help.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Pinkstarburst not arguing that point. By peoples actions, works, you make decisions whither to be around them or not. You decide whither they are good for you or not.

If we were all perfect shiny Christians we would have no need for Jesus.

@Patientlywaiting "All have sinned and have fallen short of Gods Glory"
Patientlywaiting · 46-50, FVIP
@Carazaa exactly.
Funlov · M
@Patientlywaiting you said it right hit the nail right on their head
Pfuzylogic · M
As a Christian I find that even though the Holy Sprit is physically invisible; I find myself joyous and grateful for what God has supplied.

All has fallen short. That is why , judge not lest you will be judged. We must be careful not to think of ourselves as a judge for God because there’s only one judge and we all will see him.
Repete · 61-69, M
You are right ,we should never sin, but one of the biggest sins is acting as a judge it is also said if you judge who is worthy to go to heaven or not you are either bringing God down to our level or raising yourself up to his level .
In the beginning of this it was said, faith without works is did, also is not works without faith dead?@Carazaa
Carazaa · F
@Repete The poster is talking to Christians, and I love a reminder to follow Jesus not this world. We should hold Christians accountable. We should not judge the non-Christians but love them as Jesus said. But we should definitely call out Christians because they put Jesus to shame.
Repete · 61-69, M
I reread the post to me it seems like it is pointed at everyone that does not live up to expectations of the poster.
Granted Christians should watch the works and faith within them and give support when they are weak and not stone them if they are weak because it’s a long road and it doesn’t end until the final day.@Carazaa

judge not lest ye be judged
Penny · 46-50, F
@Carazaa "other Godly people"- shit like this is what gives Christianity a bad name. you may as well be a vegan with this holier than thou bullshit
Carazaa · F
@Penny When I say " Godly" I mean my friends, my prayer partners who read the Bible who I speak to about Jesus. If I would not get divorced, cheat, steal, have sex outside of marriage, or remarry after a mate left unless they passed, or if you think I am holier than thou, so be it. Sorry to disappoint!
Penny · 46-50, F
@Carazaa judgey judge judge lol
Do not give what is sacred to the dogs
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
Are not the dogs allowed to feed on the scraps that fall beneath their masters table,
Carazaa · F
I agree even Christians get divorced, and not living for the Lord. but living for this world instead of heaven. Jesus is coming very soon, and we should look up because our redemption draws nigh.
HollyW · 18-21, F
The lure of salvation brings many undesirables to religion. It's not entirely a bad thing if it helps them focus better on self improvement.

@HollyW
A pig scrubbed clean will return to the muck again.
HollyW · 18-21, F
@JohnnySpot I've seen enough to know that people can be reformed.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
So what deeds are you expecting?
lpthehermit · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955 respect for themself and others, keeping marriage vows, honest days effort at work, wearing more than dental floss
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@lpthehermit OK. Do they claim to be Christians? I have no idea who you are talking about so.....
Apparently you dont know what works consist of.
