That’s seems like a mean God.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Graylight no, He did what it took to pay the price of sin so those who accept Him can be totally forgiven and spend eternity in heaven with Him
Graylight · 51-55, F
@TheWildEcho Or, and this is radical, the concept of making a fatherly good angry through a concept like innate sin is a structure.
@TheWildEcho Offenses against an imaginary god, atoned for by the death of another imaginary god.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom might be imaginary to you but not to those of us who have experienced His love ,joy and peace in our lives
@TheWildEcho It's great that you've had some kind of compelling spiritual experience, but it's a little arrogant of you to expect others who have not had the same experience to agree with you.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom no more arrogant than someone claiming God is imaginary because they haven't experienced Him. God will accept anyone who genuinely turns to Him
@TheWildEcho I can't genuinely turn to something I consider absurd. You can't do that either. It would be like me saying you should genuinely turn to L. Ron Hubbard and the truth of Scientology will be revealed to you. If you can't choose what you believe, it's very arrogant to tell me that I should choose what I believe. In reality, no one can choose their belief.

If God exists, he knows where I am and if he wants me to believe in him, then surely he's capable of proving his existence to me in a way I can understand. Instead, he only sends his self-appointed representatives.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom self appointed?? The last thing Jesus did before ascending into heaven was to tell His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel, that's what I'm doing, of course some will accept and some will reject
@TheWildEcho Since I don't believe Jesus did that, I consider you to be self-appointed until you prove otherwise.

And I'm not rejecting God, Jesus, or the Gospel. I'm rejecting you.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom well that doesn't bother me in the slightest lol!!!
Graylight · 51-55, F
@TheWildEcho Not doing much for your mandate to testify by ostracizing people around you and celebrating it.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Graylight just glad it's me he's rejecting and not God or Jesus

@LeopoldBloom But why don't you trust us when we say we know God? He saved us and we are forever walking in his love? I am here because I care to share that love!
