What will we do in heaven?

The Bible does not reveal all, for good reason, but does describe several of the eternal activities believers will be involved with in heaven. By looking at these activities, it is clear heaven will be an exciting place! Scripture confirms that Jesus, alone, holds the Keys to Heaven, and your faith, unlocks the door.

Scripture reveals that we will clearly worship the Lord. Revelation 5:13 shares, "And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, 'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!'" This will include worship alongside angels, as well as believers from all ages and locations, from every nation and people on earth. The music, we shall experience in the very presence of our Creator, shall be beyond anything we can possibly imagine.

We shall feast with the Lord and His people: "On this mountain, the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples, a feast of rich food," (Isaiah 25:6). Other passages, note Jesus speaking of feasting or eating, in eternity future (Matthew 8:11; Luke 22:30).

We shall have a happy reunion with all other believers in heaven. This will include the saints of old, such as Abraham, Moses, and David. In addition, it will include being reunited with other believers, who are parents, grandparents, spouses, children, grandchildren, and other loved ones from whom we have endured painful separation in this life. This alone is exciting enough to greatly anticipate heaven.

We will celebrate for eternity. For those who enjoy parties, heaven will be the greatest party of all time. Revelation 19:9 and other places, describe the future Marriage Supper of the Lamb, as a time of great joy and celebration.
Nothing to hurt us or harm us or cause us any depression. Only love, peace, and joy, abide there.

In heaven "every curse will no longer be" (Revelation 22:3). We will not be under the curse of sin any longer, so everything we do, will be out of our love for God, untainted by our sin nature.

One thing we'lll do, is to learn. "For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?" (Romans 11:34), "in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3). God is the "the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity" (Isaiah 57:15). God is bigger than forever, and it will take eternity "to comprehend with all saints, what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18-19). In other words, we will never stop learning.

God’s Word says we won’t have to be in His paradise alone. "I shall fully know, even as I also am fully known" (1 Corinthians 13:12). We will not only know our friends and family, we will "fully know" them. In other words, there is no need for secrets in heaven. There is nothing to be ashamed of. There is nothing to hide. Nothing to feel guilty about, because we will not be sinful there.

Jesus washed our sins away, when we asked him to be our Lord and Savior, so our conscience won't be able to bother us, and guilt, gone forever. There are no worries there and no death! We will have eternity to interact with... "a great multitude, which no man could number, out of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues" (Revelation 7:9). No wonder heaven will be a place of infinite learning. Just getting to know everyone, will take eternity!

Any further anticipation about what we shall do in God’s eternal heaven, will be far surpassed when "the King shall say to those on His right hand, 'Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you, from the foundation of the world'" (Matthew 25:34). Whatever we will be doing, we can be sure it will be wonderful beyond our imaginations! However, the greatest thing about heaven, will be that we shall see, and be, with Jesus, Our Father, and the Holy Spirit.

The surroundings will be amazing. The descriptions of the new heaven, earth, and heavenly city in Revelation 21—22, provide a dazzling picture of the believer's future home, a pl

I see singing praise of our God, ministering to each other and exploring the riches and wonders that God has awaiting for us.
@Pfuzylogic I can't wait to see the learning part. Hahaha What wisdom, we will have!

Sophie (the name of wisdom) is written about all over Proverbs.
@Pfuzylogic @Peterpaul17 I wonder how many are ready or even thinking about it. I hope they don't leave their souls to chance.

For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul? Mark 8:36

@LadyGrace I agree with [@Puzylogic]
@Pfuzylogic I differ on that. The Bible does not teach that Sophia is the goddess of wisdom. In fact, no one by the name of Sophia is even mentioned in the Bible. She is mythical. Adherents to the Sophia goddess movement are gaining numbers by the thousands as conferences are held, books are published, and, most profane of all, worship services for Sophia in the name of Jesus Christ are held each year across the United States and around the world.

Although goddess worship can be traced back as far as the earliest civilizations (the Romans gave Sophia the title “god of wisdom”), the most recent uprising occurred after the social reforms of the 1960s and ‘70s in America. The most notable event occurred, when one pastor in the mid-1970s did a survey of his female church population and found that most women were dissatisfied with the portrayal of masculine symbols depicting the God of the Bible. His solution was the introduction of the Greek wordSophia, or “wisdom,” into corporate worship. This allowed for the mythical feminine goddess named Sophia to be worshiped freely. This traces its origins to the time of the Gnostics in the late first and early second centuries. Recall that Gnosticism in itself sought to discover the "secret wisdom" of God and did not embrace that Jesus was the true God-man. The goddess’s characteristics were likened to that of the Trinity, noting perhaps that she is a fourth member left out by the early patriarchal church fathers.

To be clear, I am not saying that Sophie is a goddess. I just know that wisdom was assigned the name Sophie in Proverbs.
@Pfuzylogic I understand that. However she is still described as mythical. Christians don't delve in mythology. Could you please give me the scripture on that because when I checked it out, it was confirmed that Sophia is not a name in the Bible or in Proverbs. I just want confirmation. I may be wrong but I don't believe so but if I am please show me the verse. Thank you.

@LadyGrace
Just doing some research through google to confirm my personal understanding.
To make it clear, I do not advocate gnostics or cabala. i consider both false teachings.
There was however mention of the septuagint or the greek translation of the Old Testament which i have as of now considered to be valid.
The scripture i found was Proverns 8:22-31 when the creation of the world was created. I do not consider Sophie to be part of the Trinity. Having said this i didn’t plan on amplifying the discussion of this but I am responding because you “required” it of me. 🙂
@Pfuzylogic I found this. TheBook of Wisdom (also known as the Wisdom of Solomonor simply Wisdom) is one of the Deuterocanonical books of the Bible. It is one of the seven sapiential books of the Septuagint Old Testament , which includes Job, Psalms, Proverbs , Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon (Song of Songs), and Ecclesiasticus ( Sirach ).

@LadyGrace I think you had this to be posted before my response. Your response looks very valid.
@Pfuzylogic hahaha that's what I was doing haha cuz I had never heard of Sophia in the Bible. Yes I asked you about it because I want to be clear about it and know the truth of the matter. That was the only reason. And the Bible says to reason together. Nothing wrong with that. I'm going to check out those verses you gave me now. I appreciate it.
@Pfuzylogic Thank you. For the reader's sake of confirmation, I am placing the scriptures here. That way they won't have to look it up.

Proverbs 8:22 - 31

22The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24Whenthere wereno depths, I was brought forth; whenthere wereno fountains abounding with water.

25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27When he prepared the heavens, Iwasthere: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30Then I was by him,asone brought upwith him: and I was dailyhisdelight, rejoicing always before him;

31Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delightswerewith the sons of men.
