Is it not blasphemous to have "In God we trust" on money?

I've always had an issue with this. It's one thing to put the phrase in a courtroom, capitol building, or other symbol, but to put it on money feels blasphemous to me. Didn't Jesus drive the money changers out of the temple because they were putting wealth and money in front of God? Isn't that what we are doing by putting the phrase on money, saying that God is somehow tied to wealth and money?

God wants us to put our trust in God, not money. As long as that saying is on our money, America will be the strongest country financially. Especially if we worship God and not money.

What we do with our money is very important. It belongs to God! All of it!

I thought the Bible says that God only gets 10%, not all of it.

10% is Old Testament, New Testament is free will giving, but God cares as about how we spend ALL of our money, it belongs to Him in that sense.

Yep, Peter killed a man and his wife when they didn't give him all of the money from a land sale. Peter would have made a good televangelist.

@SpiritualMan What the hell does the God character need with money? Peter killed the man and the woman. That's my verdict.

@SpiritualMan If that pov is correct then there would be tens of millions of church-goers who die for that reason. Peter was the killer.
@Diotrephes No because those 2 were an example. Millions of church-goers are truly alive because of God's mercy. Hiowever many church-goers need repentance or they will not be ready for the Final Judgment. Maybe God doesn't kill them to give them a chance to stay out of hell.

I do not believe in absolute once saved always saved for the record. This may bother some, but I believe my position is more scripturally accurate, If this offends some Christians I do not apologize, and I am not sorry at all. I am only sorry if they refuse to pray and do their own research in examining scriptures in their full context, but i am not sorry of they are offended at all. I have no regard for their feelings on this matter.

@SpiritualMan OK, if that's the way you see it.
