Daily Word for Christians...Here's the scripture to meditate on!

Galatians 5:26 (NLT)
"Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another."

Analysis of the Daily Word

Social networks can be put to good use, for example, to keep in touch with family and friends...but have we realized that much of what people upload to social networks is just to impress others? It seems that what they seek is to be the center of attention or gain some attention. Some even post rude or vulgar comments about their photos or those of others. None of this fits the qualities that Christians should cultivate, such as humility and empathy. (1 Peter 3:8)

If we use social networks, let us ask ourselves: "What are the comments, photos, and videos that I upload like? Could you give the impression that I'm showing off? Could they arouse the envy of others?" We Christians do not need others to admire us. Rather, we follow the advice of today's text. If we are humble, we will not be infected by the vain spirit of this world. (1 John 2:16)

What should we do if it seems to us that the problems of our congregation are not being handled well?

Instead of being combative or seeking to complain, let's be humble and support those who lead us. (Hebrew 13:17) What will help us achieve it? Let's ask ourselves: "Are the problems I see that serious? Is this the time to do it if they need to be corrected? Is it up to me to correct them?" To be honest with yourself, what am I looking for: the unity of the congregation or my personal glory?

(Ephesians 4:2-3) gives us a practical principle to help us in our daily lives that coincide with the daily text of (Galatians 5:26). For God, humility is more important than abilities and unity than efficiency. For this reason, let us strive to be humble in serving God. This will promote unity within the congregation as well as with others that we come across. Let's keep busy preaching. Let us serve others by doing good things for them.

Let us be hospitable to everyone, and not just to those in positions of responsibility. (Matthew 6:1-4 | Luke 14:12-14) If we do all of this, others will notice not only our abilities but also our humility.

@bleach "Let us not" is used in the same as "Should". We strive to do what is right but we do more than often times find ourselves doing the opposite of what is right due to our imperfections. However, once we acknowledge it, we correct our behavior. Now for the proclaimed "Christians" that believe they are perfect and haven't done anything wrong and that of righteousness, I can't deny or prove they are being serious and honest with themselves. More than likely, just to brag or show off to others for their own selfish inclinations.
