We Believe in God

Everytime I tried to convert my daughter to Christianity she would get defensive and shut me down immediately. So I prayed for God to convert her because I couldn't. Last night at 1: 00 In the morning I heard her singing for the first time to God for all of the things He has done for her! Especially singing that He made a movie about her and that He knows her! I was thrilled I couldn't believe what I was hearing could it really be my 18 year old daughter singing love songs to God for all He has done for her! Thank You Jesus for saving my daughter when I couldn't!

As I read your post here I began to think of my grandma as you said "everytime I tried to convert my daughter"...
My grandma did the very same thing to me, as did my mother too. With all that pressure in my life from both sides as I was growing up, it drove me further away from religion and God.
Growing up in a Christian home, going to a Baptist church and finding the Lord as my Savior at about 8-10 years old. I strayed from the church when I was a teenager.

I came back to the Lord in my later years but I know that God has always had His Hand on me.

The point in my reply is I learned that I cannot force the same belief onto my own children, like my parents did, and my grandparents.

I personally have learned to leave it in the Lord's Hands. God has a purpose and it's not for us to control, nor let any other man or body of government.

When they come to know God, it will be in His time, not yours or ours. We can only plant the seed and spread His word and pray. As believers that is all we can do and put it into His Hands.

We can be faithful and patient and through Him we have hope and faith. As long as we trust in Him.

Your so very correct, It has taken me a while to realize that I am not God. All we can do is be examples as best we can to our families and to our neighbors . God will take care of the rest.@MamaButterfly
