What does this mean?

@rrraksamam That people will reject good teaching ("sound doctrine") because they want to hear what pleases them ("after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers").

Note that they even find good teaching...a burden, because of the words "they will not endure sound doctrine".

The OP seems to be indirectly asking us if we notice this happening, now...?

@SpiritualMan Wrong you twist Gods word and teach others to do it too, so I am blocking you!
Carazaa · F
@SomeMichGuy Yes, but I think some people rejected Gods word from the beginning. But now many churches are watering down Gods word, not calling out sin because they are more afraid of people than of God. So the lamp stand is blown out.

@rrraksamam It means that many people hate Gods word, God telling them they are sinners, and that Jesus is coming to judge them. So they choose a church where the pastor says all you have to do is to accept Jesus and you are saved. Jesus required us to be born again, and to put him first. We have to analyze if we are really saved.

@Carazaa and modern day churches water down the gospel because the people pay more to hear what they want to hear.

A malapropism in line 4. You meant "accept" rather than "except."

@Baremine
Yes, that is so true.

@irrelevant Before you criticize and correct others, always say something positive first. That is good manners.
