Chronicles of a Christian Teen #4
Your Purpose?
The dictionary defines purpose as "the reason for which something is done, created, and or for which something exists."
In Genesis, we see that God had a reason for every created being. For what was the purpose?
To live in communion with Him.
This is what Adam and Eve enjoyed in the Garden of Eden.
This is the intimacy that Jesus' death restored for us.
He made a way so that we could once again have an ongoing relationship with our Heavenly Father, living a life that pleases Him.
Why do you think it was so important for this relationship to be restored?
Perhaps, it's because He knew it was for this reason that we were created.
It's impossible to fulfill our purpose without having fellowship with our Father, and it's equally impossible to have fellowship unless we first go through Christ.
Thus, our purpose is found in Christ alone.
Let's look no further than the stake to define our worth, our meaning, our identity. Let's look no further than the blood that was shed for us on calvary to understand why we are on this earth. How we should spend our lives. Where our hope is found.
Purpose infuses our lives with hope. However, it's only in fulfilling our ultimate calling - living with God & for God that we will find true meaning for our lives. Not just in this life, in the one to come.
It is so that our true life will begin in the new system of things. In the presence of Jesus, it's there that we will forever continue to carry out this purpose - This calling to worship our Father & live in communion with Him.
Colossians 1:16 (NLT) says: "By means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things seen and unseen, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him."
Revelation 4:11 (NLT) says: "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created."
Romans 11:36 (NLT) says: "For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever!"
Amen 😇❤️🌹
