I Am a Christian and I Love Jesus

I want to set you all right about the Jews killed Christ bit. Jesus was Jewish. Some Jews, mostly leaders in Palestine at the time, sided with the Romans to get rid of him, because he was seen as a trouble-maker who would bring down the wrath of the Romans upon them. Then the Christians, who derived from Jesus's at first entirely Jewish followers, curried favor with the Romans as well, by blaming Jews for offing Christ. It is typical behavior of people, seen both among the Jews and the Christians, too blame a weak unpopular group rather than a strong, respected group for an action. People tend to curry favor with powerful authorities and forces and to brutalize those that are vulnerable and odd.Note also that Ashkanazi Jews are smart and have contributed much to civilization, especially in the sciences, the arts, and in finance. The muslims have contributed much less that is of value.

@silmarilion456: What I notice, looking through your posts on SW, is that a high proportion of them are negative, and your latest remark is evidence not just of negativity but also of an abusive attitude towards anyone who happens to query what you say. Can you please enlighten me as to how your latest comment relates to the subject matter of your original post.

@sleepyhead: Could be either of us - or anyone else who dares to question his post. ;-) We need to club together to buy him a big mirror for Christmas.

@Malcolm: Luckily I live in a world where I'm free to question anything I read or I'm told.

@sleepyhead: And where people write proper English... All this 'behavior' stuff!

Ok, so in case you weren't able to work out what I meant, it wasn't a jibe about your age lol I was trying to highlight that this all happened a long long time ago, and it's all very well quoting things from books or other people, but you weren't actually there and can't guarantee any of this stuff happened the way you're claiming it did.
I could tell you exactly what happened at my office yesterday. Write it down for you, in detail and you could read it back in years to come and you'd know what happened, right? Wrong. You'd have a one-sided, vague account of some things that happened, which is likely to be missing information and possibly biased in some way.
So you can carry on quoting and arguing whatever you want to, but ultimately, you do not know if what you're saying is true because you were not there. And that goes for pretty much anyone and everyone who likes to quote historical religious "facts".

@silmarilion456: You don't do you.....

Because you weren't there....

@silmarilion456: I believe in history, I just take everything I read with a pinch of salt. I don't have a very impressionable mind. I don't believe everything I'm told or anything I read and assume it to all be true, that's all.
P.S. Plate tectonics isn't historical, it's constant.

@silmarilion456: You think that to question things you're told is counter-productive?

@silmarilion456: There is a big difference between outright denial, and simply questioning the validity or factual evidence of things. I'm not outright denying anything, I'm simply stating that I'm choosing to question things that I'm told rather than blindly believe it. You can do what you like mate, it doesn't bother me. How do you think we worked out the world wasn't flat? Someone challenged it and proved it wasn't so. The same can be said for everything science has proven or at least attempted to prove.

I'm really not sure what you're asking. Am I unaware that people bully people? No of course I'm not unaware of this.
