Who Is This Gog that keeps coming up? Is he in the process of gathering his army for battle even as we speak?

People have been calling Russia "Gog and Magog" since at least the 1980s when it was the Soviet Union. There was a fear of nuclear war back then, too.

The great thing about these "prophecies" is that they're always in the future, so if they don't come to pass, there's the excuse that something was "misinterpreted" and the goal posts are moved again.

@LeopoldBloom The Jews did not know when Christ came because they expected things to go a certain way. The scriptures were there but they still couldn't see. People have a tendency of picturing the way things should go but God's mind does not work like man. Only those in sync with the Holy Spirit can see the truth.

@Lichocolati Actually, Jesus' first followers were Jewish. James the brother of Jesus was in charge of the Jerusalem faction, which required conversion to Judaism before anyone could become a Christian.
