I think you’ve been deceived.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom Don't come on my post to be disrespectful!
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom I don't talk smack about you, ever! Don't do it to me!!
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa You insult me almost every time you respond to me.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom Not true, I am very respectful toward you every day! You came on my post and critisized me, and was talking about me sarcastically with another so I deleted your comment. That's the truth! Don't do that again or I'll block you.
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa OK, fair enough. But you really should examine how arrogant and sanctimonious you are when you boast about how great your religion is.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom Sorry if you hate Christians, but God is great! And he wants us to share his good news that even though we are a sinners and deserve hell, we can go to heaven for eternity because Jesus took all your sins on his shoulders! Isn't that great? 😁
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa Stop putting words in my mouth. I have the greatest respect for Christians like Jimmy Carter, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Kim Bobo, John Shore, Pope Francis, and others who are inspired by their religion to work toward the betterment of mankind. I have nothing but contempt for Christians who think "improving mankind" requires nothing more than shoving their religion down everyone's throat.
"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
James 2:14-17

@LeopoldBloom You don't know me, so just stop your criticizing! If we are christians we are to spread the Gospel.
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa I know you well enough from what you post on here. There are ways to spread it without insulting people. All you're doing is driving people away. But subconsciously, that may be your intention. After all, what fun is your religion if you can't look down your nose at the people who reject it?

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa Yes, the Bible says the Bible is true. That's a circular definition.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom Read it again! This is not a circular argument!

Everyone should be saved automatically. Really? A rapist?
"If Jesus "convicts us to death," then he's not infinitely loving. A truly loving God would not allow anyone to be separated from him. He would forgive everyone, even if they hated him and did not wish to be with him. This is where Christianity fails. Everyone should be saved automatically."

LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa It's a circular definition because the Bible says the Bible is true.
A rapist is "saved" if, one second before he dies, he accepts Jesus, correct? But if his victim doesn't forgive him, then the victim goes to hell. That's a depraved form of morality.
However, the question is whether God wants everyone to be saved, or if he wants certain people to go to hell no matter what. If God wants everyone to be saved, then does God get what he wants? Because if not, that means Satan is more powerful than God if he manages to withhold some people from him.
This is the argument in Pastor Rob Bell's Love Wins, that God's love is even stronger than hell, and souls in hell can choose to be with God anytime they want. This is the doctrine of post-mortem salvation. The idea that the possibility of salvation ends with death makes it a cruel game where information is withheld until it's too late to do anything. Bell was forced to resign his pastorship over this, which makes me suspect that he's onto something.

The Bible is true because it has been proven true, historically, by the fulfilled prophesies, by the changed lives, and changed countries.
Be careful who you listen too please. That Pastor is not saved and does not know God, or understand the Bible. God will give people over to Satan if they refuse the truth. God knows your heart. He knows everything about you, the number of hairs on your head even. Satan is not more powerful than God. He would like you to believe that maybe, but it is not true. Souls in hell can't choose God. It is too late when Jesus comes with a hundred million angels. We are all going to face him for how we lived our lives according to Biblical standards. If we loved God and people. We can all repent and seek God, but the saving is Gods doing. With "saved" I mean the Holy Spirit changes the heart completely and truth is revealed to us.
"All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" We are all equally guilty, and all of us deserve death according to Gods standards. So that's why Jesus saved humanity by taking our sins on his own shoulders.

@Carazaa There are no "fulfilled prophecies." They're either doctored to appear to be fulfilled, or they're fulfilled after the fact.
Doesn't your religion forbid lying? If Rob Bell isn't saved and doesn't know God or understand the Bible, then neither do you.
Your arrogance makes me want to puke. Christianity is true because it's the most popular religion on earth, but you're the only one doing it correctly. At least Rob Bell doesn't lie about other people's beliefs the way you do.
