A Child Of God Is A...?

[c=004A59]These Are The Words Of Jesus Christ.[/c]

It's plain and clear that we are one with Jesus. It means that where you go he's there. Whatever he can do you also can because your actions are backed with divinity. This happened when you got born again, you became a new creation. It means that whatever you were before is a thing of the past.

Now most people get confused when you ask this question: [c=4C0073]If You're A Child Of God What Does That Make You?[/c]

Please Back Up Your Answer With Scripture.

Child of God is Forgiven.. An eternal beneficiary of Gods Long suffering, Loving Kindness..

Christianity is about getting into that right place with God ( that righteousness ) to be justly forgiven and symbolically washed by the Atoning blood of The LORD, Jesus..

Looking for scriptures.. Well where does one start? pretty daunting..

1 Peter 3:18 "For [c=7700B2]Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust[/c], that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"

So Jesus the Just suffered death, the penalty for the sins of the Unjust.. That's us Christians we are sinners and unjustcould have our penalty paid for by Jesus.

As for longsuffering and Love.. We did not earn nor win Gods love by being noble / good / worthy.. God's love was not earned or won by our characteristics God is not like humans who deal in transactional love.. God's love is higher / better then human love::

Romans 5:8 "But [c=7700B2]God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us[/c]."

King David of the Old testament also pointed to the Way people would be saved.. Not by Works ( earning it) Not as Gods payment for living a good life.. But by believing The Word of God and by trusting in the Atonement He secured on the cross when he was executed..

Romans 4:2-8 "For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. {3} For what saith the scripture? [c=7700B2]Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.[/c] {4} Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. {5} [c=7700B2]But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.[/c] {6} Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom [c=7700B2]God imputeth righteousness without works[/c], {7} Saying, [c=7700B2]Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.[/c] {8} Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."
