The Lord helps those who help themselves. Waiting passively for Jesus, or anyone else, to show up and fix all problems for us is not going to happen. We have to do it ourselves. When the J-man sees we are making an effort maybe he will consider us worthy of making a visit.

(This also applies to his two-fisted pals Buddha, Muhammad, The Mother Goddess, Odin, Zeus, Isis, Ishtar, etc.)
