Interesting... I can't wait to meet Jesus, because I have so many questions for him.
KainAbel1 · 46-50, M
@NerdyPotato Id hit him rn. He lied to me.
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato He might have some questions for you 🙂
Carazaa · F
@KainAbel1 He will be your judge, not the other way around. I would repent your sins right now so he will forgive your sins!
@Carazaa No doubt, and I'd be happy to answer those.
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato 👍 You have to answer for every single sin
Why did you not turn the other cheek 70x7 times when people wronged you like it is commanded, to love your enemies?
Why did you not rest on the sabbath?
Why did you commit adultery?
Why did you steal? If we don't give 10% First we rob God?
Why did you lie?
Why were you jealous of people?
Why did you not put God above everyon and everything?
Why did you neglect such a great salvation of God coming down and taking your sins on his own shoulders?
Why weren't you thankful for everything?

If you ever did even one of these you will be thrown into hell for eternal punishment!
@Carazaa almost everything in that list can be answered by "because of human nature", which is how God made me if the Bible is correct. Therefore my first question for him is "Why did you make me crave everything you don't want me to do?" But that's only the first of many.
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato Excuses excuses 😏 We can't give God any excuses, you are responsible for every thought and action.
@Carazaa Thoughts are difficult to control, but I do take responsibility for my actions. And I'm not ashamed to act on the needs God gave me.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NerdyPotato You definitely can't control what pops up in your mind but you definitely can control what stays. God gave us the will power to decide what stays and what goes.
Carazaa · F
@KainAbel1 Jesus never lied. Everything he said comes true!
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato You alone are responsible for every action you take.
SW-User
@Lichocolati I think if we can control what stays in, gradually we can learn to control what pops up too. Right ?
SW-User
@Carazaa That's well said. We ourselves are responsible for our action. The video in this post is quite long. Sounds interesting. I will go through it. Thank you for sharing.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@SW-User You can't control what lies the devil will decide to attack you with because God gave the devil the will power just like everybody else. You can't pray for the bad thoughts not to come either cause God equipped us for whatever comes our way Ephesians 1:3. Remember a child of God is more than a conquer through Christ Jesus.
SW-User
@Lichocolati Your reasoning sounds correct. I thought that by controlling what stays in we will gradually develop the power to control what comes in. When I say the power to control what comes in I am assuming the unwanted thoughts to be originated due to our over attachment to our 5 senses, mind being the sixth sense. Hence by detatching from the desires through cultivation of detachment, we control our mind. This needs perfection and is achieved in the highest state of meditation. I was referring to my limited understanding of Gita and yoga However practically what you said makes sense. Thank you for pointing me to the right reference of Ephesians 1:3. As you rightly stated devil too has powers and thoughts coming in is external to us and what is in our control is within us that God has equipped us with. So yes, with God's grace we have the ability to control what we process and alow to stay in our mind.
SW-User
@Lichocolati Also it is not only about the verses referred, but also about the proper understanding of the verses that makes the difference. In this case you have connected the verses to this context very well, so that it was easy for a relatively new person like me to understand. Thank you.
Carazaa · F
@SW-User Not to be disrespectful but Your thinking is highly influenced by your Hindu religion. In the Bible God tells us to be thankful for everything all the time, and we have to be aware and resist the devil who tempts us so he will flee.

Christians meditate on Bible verses, we don't do Yoga.
SW-User
@Carazaa You are right. Since I am born and brought up in a Hindu family, the Hindu concepts have high influence on my thinking. I am taught to believe that all faiths are equally important and respectful. Ours is a very traditional family too.
That is a very beautiful and enlightening message from Bible. Gratitude is important and we need to be thankful for everything we have in our life, all the time. And yes that is a great way to meditate. Bible is indeed God's gift to Humanity. Lots of respect.

@SW-User
We are all influenced by our beliefs and cultures. The difference between faith in Jesus and all other religions is what God did for us and what he teaches which is THE narrow way, not a broad road. The Bible teaches that there is one way to get to heaven. This is why many don't like our message. But it is truth that sets the soul free.

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. ACTS 4:12”

"Enter through the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it" Matt7:13

@Carazaa I can understand you. I agree with you that we are all influenced by our cultures and traditions. By cultures and traditions, I include the concept of God. Hindu tradition teaches us that there are multiple paths to truth and God is a guiding force inside us. We know God by many names. Not only God Iwe have Godessess to. All the Gods and Goddesses we worship are derived from the universal formless form of God. I l am not bringing this as an answer to you, instead I am inviting you to look into my background and position.
I understand that you intend to say that Hinduism is not the right path to truth or God. You firmly believe that only Bible leads us to God as it is the word of God.
Having highlighted all these, I perfectly understand your position, your belief, your values and how much you value and respect my values and feelings. I also understand that you want the best thing to happen to me and your intention is to help people. I respect your opinions and your intentions. I respect Jesus and I respect Bible. Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge with me.
Carazaa · F
@SW-User Thank you for sharing you traditions and religion too! You are very humble and gracious!
SW-User
@Carazaa Thank you 🤗. You are very kind.
SW-User
@SW-User Giving too much respect when someone doesn't respect your feelings is a sign of wokeness. If someone believe what they believe is truth doesn't mean that they have to downplay others belief. You should first learn to respect your culture and beliefs!
SW-User
@Carazaa Not sure whether this was intended to be a complement or not,
Thank you for sharing you traditions and religion too! You are very humble and gracious!
I lost him and I don't value someone who tolerate disrespect for their own beliefs.
Either ways, it is wrong to say and agree that Hinduism is not the right path. I do not intend to show Bible in any less light though. In a diverse world people should value everyone's belief. With due respect, people follow different faiths for a reason. Please try to understand that.

@SW-User I'm sorry if my comments hurt any sentiments. However I strongly believe that I haven't told anything wrong. If at all I did, kindly forgive my ignorance.
