What to do when faced with extreme temptation as a christian
Like when I'm in bed and feel so tempted that praying isn't working or taking the temptation away.

Sin is sin in God’s eye people sin everyday without giving it a second thought. So if there is a sin that is causing temptation that means there are other deterrents for you to know it’s wrong other than sin. If you do something that you feel is wrong there’s usually lessons and consequences that follow

If it’s that important to you than I suppose you’re going to have to get used to being uncomfortable. Resisting temptation when there are no immediate consequences is very uncomfortable.
Wait it out. Meditate, focus on your breathing, distract yourself with other things. Nothing much else you can do.
