How Do You Stay Rooted In The Word of God? [I Am a Christian and Love God]

[c=#7700B2]Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:4‭-‬8[/c]

I am not religious. It is just one of 4,000+ religions in the world, none of which are provable. There are dozens of different bibles versions in the English language so even that shows it is not writ by a god but by man. New religions pop up routinely.

I studied religions my whole life and I am now old. Religion is not needed. Being a loving person is just a nice way to live life.
@FlowersNButterflies
Religion is not needed
Organized religion is positively harmful.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@FlowersNButterflies I don't know about other religions but what I do know is that I need God. He's my source of peace. My everything. He's taken me out of the darkest of places and nothing anyone says will ever stop me from worshipping him.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
You need the idea of god because you are believing in the unproven, and you have been indoctrinated. You do as you wish, but the correct thing to do is leave the rest of us out of it. We have outgrown that, 30% of Americans are now irreligious and the trend to heal delusions is strong. @Lichocolati
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@FlowersNButterflies What do you mean it's not proven? He's done so much for my life so I don't know what you're talking about. Besides your opinion really doesn't matter. I thought Similar World is a worldwide site not just America. Darling you involved yourself when you responded to my post, if you weren't interested in what I was saying you should have kept scrolling. Anyways I'll pray that you receive salvation cause I'd hate to see you in hell cause believe it or not it exists.
@Lichocolati
What do you mean it's not proven?
What real, independently varifiable, proof is there that your specific god exist that cannot be equally well applied to any of the thousands (millions?) of others?
He's done so much for my life so I don't know what you're talking about.
That's no different from what members of other religions say about their god(s). It's just your opinion which, as you admit, "really doesn't matter".
Darling you involved yourself when you responded to my post,
Why do christians always have to be so condescending? Do you seriously think you're so superior to the rest of us?
I'd hate to see you in hell cause believe it or not it exists.
I hope you can explain yourself to Odin. I'd hate to see you turned away from Vahalla because, believe it or not, He and Valhalla exist.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
You are brain washed by dogma and indoctrination. Nonsense has no value. @NortiusMaximus
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus Why are you so offended by my post. People post all kinds of things on here but I don't see you complaining on their posts. If you think I'm superior because I'm Christian you said it not me. My [c=#7700B2]God[/c] exists and even though you doubt His existence He came to this world and died for you and me. It is what it is. My life is the evidence of God's existence. If want more evidence you definitely won't get it from me.
@FlowersNButterflies
You are brain washed by dogma and indoctrination.
How am I brainwashed? Isn't it clear that I don't believe in that rubbish?
Nonsense has no value.
Exactly my point. 👍
.
@Lichocolati
Why are you so offended by my post.
Why do you think I'm offended by it? I just find it a bit silly. You claim your beliefs are proven but you get offended when asked to present your proof.

As I said, others make similar claims about their god(s). Do you therfore believe their gods are real? You expect other to believe yours is.
If want more evidence you definitely won't get it from me.
TBH, I didn't really expect to. Christians never do present any evidence to support their claims, probably because they don't have any. They just expect everyone to believe what they say without question. I, for one, won't.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus My job as a child of God is to tell you about the good news and all He's done and to pray for the lost. The rest is up to Him. I'm the least bit offended weather you believe or not. God's word always does what He sets it out to do so trust that I ain't worried about nothing, I trust Him end of story 🙂.
@Lichocolati
My job as a child of God is to tell you about the good news
You're deceiving yourself. I consider it my duty to try to prevent you deceiving and expoliting others. You can believe whatever you want, I couldn't care less what mess you get yourself into, but don't try drag others down with you.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus You're not going to do anything to keep me from speaking the truth my dear😂. Your opinion is yours, let the others make their own.
@Lichocolati
You're not going to do anything to keep me from speaking the truth
I wouldn't dream of even trying to dearie. You're entitled to your opinions but I will call you out when you present them as established fact. Not for your benefit but to alert those who might otherwise be decieved.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus You can try to alert them dear but as I said the other day God's word will always do what he sets it out to do because it's not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God😀.
@Lichocolati
You can try to alert them dear
I don't only try, dear, I actually succeed. I've helped quite a few people to avoid being exploited by christians. :)
God's word
There's no such thing. There can't be bcause God doesn't exist in reality, it's just a myth.
Lynda70 · F
@NortiusMaximus
I've helped quite a few people to avoid being exploited by christians.
That's great. Keep up the good work. I nearly fell victim to their deception but, luckly, I was helped by someone like you warning me of the danger.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@Lynda70 My dear the danger is walking in the dark cause you can't see anything. When you have walk in the light of the truth then you will be saved from the danger of the lies people tell you that God doesn't exist. Forget what science tells you, think about all the seas, the mountains, the beautiful waterfalls, the stars, the planets, the sun all these beautiful things that exist. Do you really think they came out of nowhere, that the earth we live in that floats in the airless galaxy all just happened and that no supernatural being that possess all power took his time creating these wonders. This question is not meant for you to give me a smart answer to prove a point but for you to really think about. I know I have.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus As I said the other day there's two supernatural beings that run this world. I'm telling the world about God because I'm driven by God to spread his word while you on the other hand are driven by the forces of darkness to keep the truth from touching the lost. I've experienced salvation and it was all God's hand. He delivered me from addiction and depression and it's enough to drive me to want to let all those who are faced with any form of addiction and depression that there's a way out. That they don't have to live with it for the rest of their lives. God saved me for this purpose.
@Lichocolati
As I said the other day there's two supernatural beings that run this world.
You can believe in myths and supernatural beings if you like but don't expect me to.
while you on the other hand are driven by the forces of darkness
That is a very arrogant and offensive statement. I could make similar accusations about you but I have more respect. I'm actually driven by logic.
I've experienced salvation and it was all God's hand.
You're deluding yourself. That's fine, I couldn't care less about what you do to yourself, but I am concerned that you're deceiving others.
let all those who are faced with any form of addiction and depression that there's a way out.
Yes, it's called modern medicine. Relying on mythical beings and superstitions, as you advocate, only makes things worse. Far too many people have suffered serious harm or even died as a result of listening to snake-oil merchants like you.
Lynda70 · F
@Lichocolati
My dear the danger is walking in the dark cause you can't see anything.
That's why, my dear, I always try to see where I'm going.
the truth then you will be saved from the danger of the lies people tell you that God doesn't exist.
You have that wrong. When you have the truth, you will be able to avoid the danger of the lies people tell you that God is real. The truth is, it's just a mythical being made up by people seeking to control those like you.
Forget what science tells you,
Science is based on proven facts. It's thanks to science that you're able to post here.
Do you really think they came out of nowhere,
Only christian creationists make that claim. Where do you think your god came from? Out of nothing?
you to really think about.
I have, that's why I don't believe in your god. You ought to try it sometime.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@NortiusMaximus I believe in a living God. He's a myth to those who've never, had an encounter with him. You'll just know he lives when you experience his presence trust me. You'll be wondering why you ever thought he was a myth.

I'm sorry if the truth offends you but I can't change the fact that you're unaware of the forces that drive people. I know you've had an experience where you do something crazy and look back wondering what even possessed you to do that. That is what these dark forces do they possess you and take control of you whispering crazy things in your ear. They love it when you're unaware of their existence because then you can put all the blame on the things you see including yourself.
You're deluding yourself
Oh no my dear that'll be you😁. God really saved me. I never took meds or talked to a shrink. All I did was pray.

If anyone ended up in a messed up situation then know that the source of their help wasn't God to begin with. I'm living proof of the goodness of God. Let me tell you meds are just another chain cause you have to depend on them. God dissolves the problem completely no matter what it is. I know I'm healed even though my eyes still see a disabled girl. I'm not who the world says I am. I am what God says I am and that is healed through Jesus 😀.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@Lynda70 I'll never quit spending the news on how good God has been to me. I'm paralyzed right now because science failed to fix me, the same science you say has facts but you'll will witness when God heals me from something medical science said was incurable. I just can't wait😁.
@Lichocolati
I believe in a living God....
Others can say the same about their gods. For example, Santa Claus is a myth to those who've never, had an encounter with him. You'll just know he lives when you experience his presence trust me. You'll be wondering why you ever thought he was a myth."
I'm sorry if the truth offends you but I can't change the fact that you're unaware of the forces that drive people.
Again, I can say exactly the same to you with exactly the same validity.
You're deluding yourself
Oh no my dear that'll be you😁.

BTW, do you see how this works yet?
If anyone ended up in a messed up situation then know that the source of their help wasn't God to begin with.
As God doesn't rweally exist, it's in no position to help anyone.
I'm living proof of the goodness of God.
Now you really have lost the plot. :(

[sep]
you'll will witness when God heals me from something medical science said was incurable.
What's it waiting for then? I'll believe it when I see it. Try praying to Eir, you might have more success.
Lynda70 · F
@Lichocolati
I'll never quit spending the news on how good God has been to me.
In what way? In any case, how can you be sure which god it was, there are thousands of them.
I'm paralyzed right now because science failed to fix me,
Seems like your god hasn't either.
the same science you say has facts
Not quite. Science is based on facts.
you'll will witness when God heals me
When is that scheduled for? I didn't know God had a waiting list.
