A club in name only? [I Don't Want A Christless Christianity]
It seems odd to me when talking about christians we use words like "faults" and "not being perfect" to excuse thier atrocities.
And, no we are not perfect, but there is something to say about repentance and obedience.
When it becomes all about which side we are on Christianity and salvation is nothing more than a badge we pin to our shoulder.
Some have the attitude,since we are in the group, we are allowed to go against the very thing we say we believe in.
We are unkind, uncommitted, and dismissing of anyone that speaks out against anyone who commits grievous sins, because they just happen to have the Christian label.
This while accusing those outside the faith for lesser offenses and fighting a battle I don't believe we were ever really supposed to fight.
We are to pray for those who do not believe, we are to love those who do not believe,and when/if they are ready to listen we are to have answers for them.
Like it or not an atheist will not believe in the Bible simply because they do not believe the Bible.
They will not give homage to God, because they do not believe in God.
It is a pointless to act like they will and pointless to keep attacking and keep trying to convince people who are not wanting to be convinced that there is a God.
All it does it cause endless debates and strife.
I do not get this new Christianity that dismisses the christian living in sin while condemning the sinner living in sin?
How is that a light to world?
Yes,God forgives,but He declares one must repent and turn from that way of life.
And that is every day occurance because we are not perfect.
There is a big difference with making mistakes and continuing in them.
The most distrubing thing is that this conduct is defended if you're in the club and condemned if your not.
I think it is far worse to continue in these type of sins and claim yourself to be a Christian.
The bible was written for the believers so ,the condemenation must all so be a warning to the believers.
I sometimes think the people who need to be witnessed to the most are those in the church.
I do not say this in anger or in condemnation; I say it with great saddness and again,say I do not understand this new Christianity.
I Corinthians 5
Explains it all and how we are not to judge the world,God will,but to make judgments within the church.
It is very easy to look up and very clear to understand unless one muddies it.
I was once told to see if people really wanted to know what the bible said for themselves to just leave the refrences, to see if they would bother to look it up, So, that's why I chose to only give the reference.
