A vision from The LORD [I Am A Christian But Im Not Perfect]

Last year, a church buddy said, "20 years ago, The LORD gave me a vision" He described the vision in detail. Not 1 syllable of that vision happened, yet. I told a few mutual friends "if The LORD gave me a vision, I'd do everything in my power to make it happen, not have it still be in the talking about it stage 20 years later." A new detail that just occurred to me a few days ago" Or did The LORD give me a vision 20 years ago and I completely ignored it?
