I Am a Christian and I Love Jesus

Spirit of life lead the way. Your fragrance is beautiful, your truth undeniable, your love unquenchable, your hope obtainable. It is in the Father, and in the son, and the spirit of life led him to the cross so that he may die to give me this life, so that I may have life abundantly and to the full.....it guides me through the darkness, it trumps the false prophet, it teaches me to speak it, to speak the words of life. As I type this it's fragrance fills my mind....Life what a beautiful gift you are.....Thank you Jesus, thank you father.

I love seeing stuff like this, but it never says he was hung on a cross... 😔
SW-User
Please don't tell me he was hung on a stick, or a tree.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: The hebrew word for it translates into stake, pole and cross, so from that we cant pull a conclusion from what it was he was hung up on.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: just out of curiosity are you JW? The Bible makes it clear that he was crucified.. which would make need of a crucifix which is a cross.

When I was redeemed and given the spirit of life, I had a vision of the cross, it was accompanied by a loud cracking noise, like that of rocks splitting, that is when I first smelled the beautiful fragrant aroma of the spirit of life, which guides me to this day....2 Corinthians 2:14.....till the end.

@Stigmata1: ... you need to do some homework mate. 😕
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SaintSong: You had a vision... Did you drink or eat something weird before this?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: I'm not the type to go back to the original translation unless something doesn't sound right. I'm a KJV only believer. The only thing I have seemed out the originals for is the doctrine of "Hell"
saintsong · 41-45, F
No....it was the work of the holy spirit. Truth.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: did you also have a vision? 🤔
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: nope.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: what do you believe about hell then? Do you also believe in the original meaning behind it? That'd be Gehenna and hades/sheol?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: the translation of hell in the Bible is also translated into other words such as pit, grave etc. I don't believe the lost will burn forever. I believe they will be consumed in the LORDs fiery wrath. It's like Tartarus which was translated as the same word "Hell".... one time that word is used.. once!
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: yeah they do have different words for them, but hell is not one that should be used, it bunches up both gehenna and sheol together which is very misleading. Theyre explained to be two very different places. Gehenna is explained to consume both body and all of your hopes. meanwhile Sheol is described to only consume your body, but there is hope for the ones who gets to sheol.

I like to see it as when youre in gehenna, you do not exist and God has chosen to forget about you.
And when youre in hades/sheol, youre dead but God remembers you and will resurrect you.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: right, a lot of people don't realize Gehenna was a literal place and that the Jews Jesus was speaking to knew what that was. As far as I know that place still exists as a trash dump outside of Jerusalem
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: the word is just a symbol for death in other words. The thing (death) that the word Gehenna is referring to, does not actually exist as a place, its just a state.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: but Gehenna did exist in the days of Christ. Also known as the valley of Hennom in the Old Testament
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: yes it was a place back then, but it's obviously not what God refers to when he speaks of an unfillable void
saintsong · 41-45, F
Sheol is the dwelling place of demons, when a person falls the are tormented in sheol, it is the first death..some will get wrose and worse and become false prophets, others will repent, unail their darkness turns to light..Hell is the second death where worms never die and the fire is never quenched, it is an eternal separation from God. Geena is a place like a burial wasteland.
saintsong · 41-45, F
Sorry for the typos autocorrect
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SaintSong: no... sheol is the death where your body and soul has seized to exist, but God will remember you and resurrect you when time comes.

Gehenna is the eternal death where you will never exist again.

"Hell" is a word for sheol and gehenna that was made by christianity, it never says hell in the scriptures.
SW-User
@SaintSong: death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire which is the second death
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: can we please stop using the word hell here?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: no we can't. I speak English and he'll is an English word.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Stigmata1: it's one word for two things
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst: hell is a biblical word. Hell does exist just not in the context in which it isn't taught.
