I don't think men have too much of a preference when it comes to height. Most men will date women of any height, whether taller or shorter then them, so long as the women are not overweight.... but many men overlook the weight factor too and will even date overweight women.
However, you will rarely find short men dating tall women because tall women will not consider short men. So even though short men usually feel no problem in dating tall women, tall women will usually not date them.
When it comes to dating, women are very, very choosy... but the same can be said of men when it comes to marriage.
