I was leading an art group here on the island by being the art director and organiser of an arts festival

long story short two years have now passed since i stopped doing it.
But i want to continue with new workshops and art stuff, claiming the brand that i used for the group show for myself now. It is going to be community-oriented events, yet i want to maintain the management and ownership.
I am concerned though that if i do that, claim the brand to myself, some might have objections. I am the only admin of the facebook page, gmail codes, site.
What are your thoughts/opinions?

I think unless there’s a copyright involved somewhere you should be fine. If other people involved haven’t done anything with it in two years it’s probably not on their mind.

@WhateverWorks that's true, I either need to have my reasons ready and solid.. or get over these and move on with the actual work

No matter what you do people in the art community will suggest that you should’ve done it differently. It’s a diverse group of people with often an air of snobbery about what art is, how it should be displayed, and what ways it’s OK to make money off of it. You’re never going to make everybody happy, so it’s better to just do your thing that you find satisfying and the people who don’t suck will support you@elafina
