Why do some really good movies have real bad ratings?

Has anyone seen Will Smith's Collateral beauty? It's an amazing movie, and it was rates literally 13% on rotten tomatoes.

I don't think so, his other movies do ok. Pursuit of happiness which was literally one of the best movies with good reception had a 67% only @PlumBerries:
