I am so glad that Johnny Depp won the defamation suit against Amber Heard

Depp said, "The jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled."

Heard says, “I’m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American — to speak freely and openly.”

Ah Amber. You still have that right. You just need to speak truthfully. Especially in a court of the law.

@caccoon because he is rich as fuck has nothing to do with it. Besides her wanting to get what she could from him by spreading mistruths.

And I think his reputation was quite tarnished being accused as a wife beater and losing his role in the Caribbean movies.

And are you aware of how often men are accused of wrongdoings just because they are males? And society usually believe women over men.

She is a fucking liar. And now the whole world knows it.

@SW-User Hopefully society is now more aware that women can be abusers and men can be victims of domestic abuse. Also that not every woman who claims she was abused actually was, some are just liars.

@SW-User It's quite likely she thought the courts would automatically take her side simply because she's a woman. TBH, I thought she'd win for that very reason. I'm very happy to have been proven wrong on that point.

In a criminal trial, the accused has to be proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. In OJ Simpson's case, the prosecution failed to do that.

The Depp vs Heard case was a civil matter where the jury had to find for one or the other. In effect, the jury found Heard guilty of the allegation against her.
