The Never-ending Struggle of Trent Reznor
There's bound to be more docs on this guy that would flesh out his character, but I'll offer my thoughts so far, his Industrial forebears are the kinds of Industrial I prefer, Skinny Puppy 23 Skidoo, and I find a more refreshing sound in at least a couple KMFDM songs, but Trent's Pretty Hate Machine should be scratching that itch for catchy music. I see a person totally devoted to his craft, how he'd make those solo made album(s) with such an element of dedication, is inspiring. What is not inspiring to me though is the sentimentalism that can gush out at me when listening to him express his feelings so painfully. There's whining in his stuff at times, not always, and when he's not whining I am more likely to love the song. The Downward Spiral and some odd songs elsewhere compose my faves of NIN

I'll post every single song of theirs I like that I choose to listen to, if there's something that's based on what is already here, that would belong here, be a good chap and drop it below!!

I find this to be a sublime song, and it's nice now to know what it's called

I would like all of his songs if it was in a language I didn't understand, there are more to come, what I like I really like a lot!!
This is my #1 song of his, I LOVE it's message, and it's catchy with a nice amount of harshness

I like this Opera lady, she is a good analyzer, she explains perfectly the use of pausing to increase appreciation, to do that is my whole purpose in enjoying them, to enjoy them as much as I can to be able to describe to some extent the glorious sounds on display ... it's the nasally voice!! i'm not the greatest appreciator of nasal voices. Her analysis isn't as good to me as her's was for Bjork, she's gushing too much, in the part of the song where Trent is making sobbing sounds for about 10 seconds, I really don't like that. Ok so soon there'll be a few more faves, the songs I actually love!!

This video is an artistic horror short film, seen in that way it's less offensive, there's much stronger stuff out there, and it's such an iconic song, my teenage self thought it was the most cutting edge thing conceivable, I had no clue, but it still sounds sharp, it's about a desperate mindset that someone like John Owen the Puritan could help out with

This is a great first listen, YEAHHHH!!!

I love every song in The Downward Spiral, so no need taking up space with them all.
