Everyone who achieved anything one might consider "great" is put under a microscope to look for qualifiers as to why they aren't that anyway, everything from their childhood, injuries, race, country of origin, and everything else. We cannibalize anyone who dares to stand out because it's too extra, too unique, too attention seeking too whatever while simultaneously telling the masses that if they "just try harder!" And reach for the stars and apply themselves at something they're really good at, everyone will love them and they will have made it...

Life is short, but life is also really, REALLY fucking long. It'd be nice if we could stop raising people up just to mow them down like weeds🥺
