All my childhood favorites are married or getting married and I honestly don’t know how to act.

Taylor Swift. Miley Cyrus. Selena Gomez. Demi Lovato. These women raised me through every phase of life and now they’re in their wedding era and I’m just over here aging in real time. The inner child in me is screaming, crying, throwing up. Time is really flying and it feels so unreal watching the girls I grew up loving step into whole new chapters.

You aren't a child, why would you want them to remain lesser?

If you cared about them as individuals who are a real as you are, why would you be anything other than happy for them...? What would you say to a so-called "friend" who said something like that to you? "I'm not sure how to feel about you growing up and having a life bigger than a child's life"...?

@SomeMichGuy Obviously you don’t understand the post, I am unbelievably happy for them… ??? never said I wasn’t. The post is about me aging and growing up, as well as them… ?
@TiaRose I guess I take people at their word:

All my childhood favorites are married or getting married and I honestly don’t know how to act.
(Emphasis added.)

So you actually said you "don't know how to act". That doesn't convey "happy".

These women raised me through every phase of life and I’m just over here aging in real time.
(Emphasis added.)

Here, you differentiate yourself from them, rather than saying you are the same.

The inner child in me is screaming, crying, throwing up.
(Emphasis added.)

Those are not telling me you are happy.

Time is really flying and it feels so unreal watching the girls I grew up loving step into whole new chapters.

So you realise they are also in and subject to time...ok.

But those lack of expressions of happiness are why I concluded you aren't. I read it,
