I see , he is some right wing type person , So it is no loss that he is gone, I'm Just curious who he was and what he did.
Top | New | Old
He was a political activist. Usually had peaceful discussion with anyone of different political / personal views to see if there was any common grpund, or an understanding. Freedom of Speech, open / respectful dialog and he would give a microphone to anyone that would disagree with him.

"No loss he's gone" to you bc hes a conservative, however he never advocated violence, just a different view.
Meanwhile to his wife, children, etc he's not just "no loss".
Would his loss mean anything to you if he was a liberal?
Humanity and empathy at its best, right?

@dpoet that’s completely untrue… but typical of the haters who smear him.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
I don't condone his murder. Yet...

Now here is the full Truth about Charlie Kirk...

Political Views

Conservatism and Republican Activism

Charlie Kirk was a prominent conservative activist and a key figure in the Republican Party. He co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012, aiming to engage young conservatives and counter liberal ideologies on college campuses.

Kirk's organization became influential in Republican politics, with the ability to support or oppose candidates based on their alignment with conservative values.

Kirk is associated with Project 2025, an initiative primarily sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, which aims to prepare a comprehensive policy agenda for the next Republican administration.

This involvement reflects a collaborative effort among various conservative organizations to influence policy and engage young voters in the political landscape.

Key Issues

Fiscal Responsibility: Advocated for limited government and free markets.

Christian Conservatism: Emphasized the role of evangelical Christianity in politics, often intertwining faith with his political messaging.

Gun Rights: Strongly supported the Second Amendment, arguing for the necessity of gun rights despite the associated risks.

Religious Views

Evangelical Christianity
Kirk's faith was central to his identity and political stance. He often discussed the influence of religion on societal behavior and values, promoting a Christian worldview in his activism.

Organizations

Turning Point USA (TPUSA)
Founded in 2012, TPUSA focuses on mobilizing students to promote conservative principles. The organization has grown to have chapters at over 850 colleges and played a significant role in voter mobilization efforts for Republican candidates.

Turning Point Action
Established as a political advocacy arm of TPUSA, focusing on broader political engagement and activism.

Turning Point Faith
Co-founded with a Pentecostal pastor, this initiative aimed to engage religious communities on conservative issues.

Kirk's work and organizations significantly shaped the landscape of conservative activism, particularly among younger voters.

Anyone who knows what project2025 is about, knows exactly what Charlie Kirk's values were.

Project2025 is about as extremist as anyone can get across the board on all issues.

Yeah, I had to coax this out of ChatGPT. Because it didn't want to give Charlie Kirk's association to the heritage foundation. The MAIN sponsor of project 2025.

If you are associated with project2025, you're associated with the heritage foundation and have their full backing and Vice Versa

@DeWayfarer maybe. But you can ignore the religious issue, and just call it what it is, an unjustified killing of a human being. Science has now proven that quite clearly.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@Djc59
Or just the basic science that it’s killing a human person without due process.
Kind of like those boats that trump ordered to have destroyed, even though he had no proof or evidence of them carrying drugs?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Djc59 yes you can ignore the religious issues.... By not making laws on those same religious issues.
My teenagers knew who he was,.. He was a political commentator and Trump supporter from what I heard, possibly he might happen to have said something controversial at some point
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@HoeBag they already have him and there’s no need to convince anyone he’s a left wing nutcase , his left wing family turned him in, I say good for them
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@Prison1203 I thought his family was right wing?

Now when you respond, don't get upset like you often do. Count to ten. 😁
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@AbsolutelyFabulous Hey you mentioned that your kids knew who he was. Seems he was popular, or at least known, among the youth, but why is that?

A lot of grown-ups, including me, had never heard before the day he was k*lled.

MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@georgelong I guess Charlie Kirk is too.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@MoveAlong The right is acting like he is such a great loss, but what did he really do other than spew his extremist right-wing views?

Well I mean, what does everyone think was lost? People say he d*ed just because he had opinions, but have people forgotten the expression "Your tongue will dig your grave"?
I mean we all talk smack but this guy was a pretty big public figure.
georgelong · 46-50, M
Besides having the adorable screen monkey what have you done? @HoeBag
DragonFruit · 70-79, M
Whenever anyone is killed, it's a loss ...regardless of what they espoused.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@DragonFruit Of course All the big influencers on social media will use it as an opportunity to add to their bank accounts.

The left and right are guilty of that.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Never heard of him.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@hunkalove One downside of him being d3ad, it seems a lot of people never had heard of him before. But now, that is all we see in the news.

@AmericanAvenger Well normally I would fire back something n4sty, but it turns out he is a great loss, mostly because he was calling for the Epstein files to be released. The Left as well as the Right want that.

I do not agree with his right wing views on certain issues but anyone who could have helped bring justice to the Epstein criminals (likely includes trump) is definitely an asset.

Mostly likely they will try to sell the idea that some "left wing lunat*c" did this like they do everything, but what if, what if it is discovered that it was someone on the Right trying to silence him?
GeorgeTBH · 36-40, M
🤷🏻‍♂ some politics guy or something no clue i don't follow politics
AmericanAvenger · 56-60, M
Kirk's death is a loss. Only a lowlife would say otherwise.
Djc59 · 56-60, M
@AmericanAvenger well put! Lots of low-lifes are here though.

@looking4thesun a total falsehood and of course, this has been debunked multiple times. He most certainly was not a conservative or republican or any kind of traditionalist. But what do you expect from the left but smears, since they can no longer win, even the most basic disagreement

@Djc59 I hope there is a Kirk day - it is fun to watch people on the Right mourn about stuff. 😁

Cause honestly, I have no opinion of kirk's bucket kicking either way cause I didn't know him. But it was fun to watch the MAGA crowd get upset.

BTW did any country musicians cash in on the event by writing a song about it? I do not listen to country so I do not know.
Djc59 · 56-60, M
@HoeBag country music artist heck I don’t know. I wouldn’t support a Kirk day because we already have too many of those, but replacing Presidents’ Day and Martin Luther King Day with a national Mother’s Day that includes Charlie Kirk would make sense to me. Maybe we keep Presidents’ Day separate.
