Alec Baldwin's 'Rust' case is officially over

Alec Baldwin's legal saga over the fatal shooting that took place on the set of his movie Rust is officially over. Five months after his case was thrown out by a New Mexico judge, the district attorney's office announced this week that they were dropping their appeal.

@eMortal Definite accident on Baldwin's part, seems like incompetence on the part of the film's armorer.

@eMortal There is no such thing as a firearm accident, only negligence. If you’re holding the gun, you are absolutely responsible for the bullet and where it goes.

@redredred Thank you. Baldwin got away with manslaughter at the minimum. He had one of the prop people take the fall, she wasn't rich and connected like him and couldn't afford justice.
