Her time in the spotlight wasn't long. Bob Dylan wrote the song "Like a Rolling Stone" about what he foresaw as her inevitable downfall; although he didn't foresee her death from an overdose at age 28.
Once upon a time you dressed so fine
Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People call say 'beware doll, you're bound to fall'
You thought they were all kidding you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hanging out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging your next meal
How does it feel, how does it feel?
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown, like a rolling stone

@JonLosAngeles66 Yeah, "Just Like a Woman" could also have been about Edie (although part of Dylan's genius is how he makes these songs generally applicable). I think "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat" was more generally a slam against the sometimes vapid concerns of the rich & fashionable. BTW, Jackie Kennedy allegedly wore one though I can't find a photo of her in it.

@ElwoodBlues Umm. Source how he wrote this for her? He was the perfect enigma. You wont find it.

@thewindupbirdchronicles It's true. Dylan never revealed whether there was a particular "Miss Lonely" whose fall from grace inspired the song. We have only educated guesses. However, the Edie Sedgwick guess is widely hypothesized.
