So, my ex boyfriend is convinced he's going to be talking privately with Matthew McConaughey today via video.

There is a virtual webinar thing that lasts 3 hours (which is free). But, he paid $49 to speak with Matthew afterward. Basically, the $49 paid for 10 meals to feed starving families.

The website isn't even put together well. And, why the targeted grammar (country/southern) ??? Does he not think about how many people would pay to speak with Matthew privately ? He actually believes he'll be talking with him one on one.

I don't sound too cynical, do I? I just think he's silly for believing that crap.

This is the link to the "about" ... not the link to the actual webinar.

Also, you have to give your email and consent to receive emails from the company and all its affiliates in order to watch the actual video. 😒 And, they really want your phone number to send texts as well.

@Quetzalcoatlus I can't help but feel bad for him. I don't know why he's so gullible.

@perceptivei I’ll call him for free, I do a good McConaughey voice. Save y’all some money…

@Quetzalcoatlus There's no "y'all". I'm so skeptical I don't even want click on the link they'd send in the email.

@perceptivei He’s going to get hacked, I hope he’s not giving bank info or debit/credit card info
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Quetzalcoatlus Well, he had to in order to pay the $49..

@perceptivei Ugghhaah! No!!!! Hopefully it’s just a scam and not a ploy to steal money…
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Quetzalcoatlus Hopefully, but there's always a motive behind a scam, too. Hopefully, it's not to directly steal credit card information though.
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
@perceptivei Did you tell him it’s a scam?
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Quetzalcoatlus I hadn't read about it at the time, so i had limited information. But, I did tell him that's simply not the case. I was having a hard time believing the fact he could be so easily fooled.

@perceptivei We’ll the good thing is that your finances aren’t tied together through marriage. If he gets screwed over it won’t affect your credit lol
perceptivei · 36-40, F

@perceptivei You made a smart choice. So….. how you doin?

perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Quetzalcoatlus I just talked to him. Apparently, it turned into a never ending infomercial. I wondered if they'd do that.
Quetzalcoatlus · 46-50, M
@perceptivei He paid 50 bucks to watch a commercial? Ooof!
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Quetzalcoatlus yeah... that's what it sounds like.
