As a protestant messianic christian who believes in the bible and jesus’ birth as the messiah of the jewish people

I don't celebrate christmass because it’s from the pagan catholic church influence .. where they just rebranded a bunch of their pagan idols and called them saints and mary and other things and kept worshiping them 😒

But religion is always about recycling former mythologies. Saints, gods, cosmology, and philosophical precepts have always been borrowed from other generations and from other peoples. Everything is pagan actually.

@EarthlingWise that’s your opinion
@YoMomma Indeed, but it's also what history shows.
Justification, I guess, is always just easier for hoomans.

@EarthlingWise i believe in the jewish version of God.. it’s my belief that everything else is a knock off especially islam but they have a psychopath aspect of hate for others however i admire their passion and faith and modest and charity but not their hate for Jews and Christians and israel which really mohamed stole aspects of religion from both the jews and the catholic as he forcefully married wives from both religions

But affinity of belief aside i think it matters more what morals and kindness people hold to above and beyond their alleged beliefs

Allegations of beliefs are of lesser importance than a persons walk in life if they follow truth and kindness and life

Belief only matter so much as it influences a persons life choices and standards of right and wrong

A person who does right despite having wrong beliefs is better than a person who does wrong despite claiming to have proper faith

Or other hellish ideas despite their declarations of faith

Even though i believe in God i’m not on the straight and narrow.. i’m more like a stray cat so idk if i will go to hell or not but.. i believe what i believe anyway .. that not everything is pagan but a lot of things in the catholic church are and many other church branches because of their influence

I know im way off the point of your statement but i’m just venting
@YoMomma Ok, I hear you, but I personally see religions as artefacts.
A lot of things have been associated with religious traditions, that can be loved on their own.
As for the historical thing, this shows how religions beget other religions:
