why is catholicism seen in a bad light nowadays

i'm a roman catholic and believe in my faith, all the priest i've ever known have been noble good priests who genuinly cared about people...just because there has been a few perverted priests in times gone by, doesn't blacken the whole catholic faith, if some people think it does, it would be a ridiculous assertion.

It's not just a few. Sexual abuse happens at a disproportionately high level in all religious institutions. And when it happens in the Catholic church, they just move the offending priest to another district.
