I’m not a Catholic. But use the Sacred Space prayer book. I find this very helpful in prayer.

@BritishFailedAesthetic It is far better to speak your own genuine words from your heart to the LORD.. The danger in formulated prayers is a disconnect develops between the words and the one repeating them..
Also the LORD Jesus said we should not use repetitious prayers..

@Adstar Right we can speak to the Lord as you say but no problem in using a book too.

@SW-User The way to direct your replys is to click on the ""reply"" next to translate down the bottom of the post you want to reply too so that at the start of your reply it will have an @[c=1F5E00]Adstar[/c] .. that way i will know your talking to me.. Otherwise it's a question to no one in particular..
As for the question.. I try to avoid boasting about what i may or may not do for other Christians..

Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you [a]openly.[/c]
