I’m not a Catholic. But use the Sacred Space prayer book. I find this very helpful in prayer.

@BritishFailedAesthetic It is far better to speak your own genuine words from your heart to the LORD.. The danger in formulated prayers is a disconnect develops between the words and the one repeating them..

Also the LORD Jesus said we should not use repetitious prayers..

(Matthew 6:7) "[c=BF0000]But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking[/c]."
@Adstar Right we can speak to the Lord as you say but no problem in using a book too.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Nothing fancy. Nothing formal. Nothing repetitive. Just quieting the soul. Prompts.
Be still and know that I am Lord, says the psalmist.

@BritishFailedAesthetic How do you support other Christians?
@SW-User What?????? Is this a critical question????
SW-User
@BritishFailedAesthetic Through prayer and fellowship.
@SW-User I agree, are you throwing shade or encouraging? What makes you think I don't do those things if so?
SW-User
@BritishFailedAesthetic it’s actually a reply to Adstar, and his fancy guide remark,
@SW-User Oh, my bad.

@SW-User The way to direct your replys is to click on the ""reply"" next to translate down the bottom of the post you want to reply too so that at the start of your reply it will have an @[c=1F5E00]Adstar[/c] .. that way i will know your talking to me.. Otherwise it's a question to no one in particular..

As for the question.. I try to avoid boasting about what i may or may not do for other Christians..

Please read the Words of Jesus..

Matthew 6
[c=BF0000]6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you [a]openly.[/c]
