"Bearing False Witness" is a book written by Rodney Starks which debunks centuries of anti-Catholic history. Examples are calling the middle ages the "Dark Ages" which were anything but dark. For instance, Stark details that the Middle Ages was an era of unprecedented advancement and technological innovations on a scale unknown to any prior civilization. (Stark, by the way, is not a Catholic)

Errr, fascinating... So does he also explain how we regressed from the advances seen in the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, among others? Do any other historians agree with him, because frankly, that is one of the worst historical analyses I have ever heard of.
