Most overpowered handheld weapons in real life.

Sure in videogames there are plenty of guns that are "Overpowered" for what they are...but they tend to get nerfed.

In real life though it's seem as a good thing.

So anyone out there willing to flex their gun knowledge? :)

(Note: This is overpowered for the class of weapon...so you're not comparing a gun to every gun ever, just comparing pistols to pistols, shotguns to shotguns...that kinda thing)

there was a .50 bmg pistol... with a weird biblical name... I'll have to look it up now.

@SW-User From my very little knowledge of guns I know that .50 bmg is something you use when you absolutely want to fuck someones day up right?

@Fangirlsarah1996 50 bmg is a round that in the military isn't supposed to use against 'people' targets; they're only for equipment and material.

so short answer, yes.

the browning m2 and the barrett m82 sniper rifle use the 50 bmg round. comparative rounds:

the 7.82 is roughly a standard sniper rifle, the standard 'assault rifle' round of 5.56 mm isn't even shown in this graphic.

@SW-User That's a big lump of lead 🤤

@SW-User Russia and other nations uses the 14.5mm round in their anti-material rifles, and there's a few others that use the 20mm

@MrWarfare94 I hadn't heard of the russian round or rifles. just trying to give size guidelines for that crazy pistol that fires the 50 bmg.
