If you could join any division in the armed forces because you were called upon because of desperate measures. Which one would you choose?

Well I'd put my money on China or Russia over anyone else personally after looking into statistics.. Not at all maybe there just people out there ready to risk what ever it take to do what's needed yeah u can be safe in a boat 50 miles away but at some point it's still gotta be man v man

....if the looser does not concede defeat in a conventional world....let's hope they don't go nuclear as a desperate resort. The vanquished might have the attitude like if we go down then the world goes down with us. Better be prepared to negociate or else.....:(

See that's the issue tho right there governments could come to terms ect but u got that any idiots these days and false media it would just keep going on until the end came

It would be a hard fight. But the U.S. and allies--including your country, which you are betting against, by the way--would win. If it were the U.S. alone, overextention would play a hard role. But, with allies, the West would win.

I would also take into account the respective expenditures. 600 billion a year, we have no idea what's locked away in the basements of DARPA vs, has been 150B, until they recently upped it to 215-250B for China and 66B for Russia. Guaranteed technological supremacy. In the end, money is what wins wars.

Not to mention, Russia and China are unstable allies. And China's growth is sure to end at some point. They've been blasting off for a long while. A drop is going to happen. Not to mention the potential for revolution.

Well. There are way too many factors to consider. At least, more than I'm willing to go into or learn about. But, have some pride.

@caesar7: I like to think that after a half century, the U.S. has some kind of anti-nuke tech. Possibly wishful thinking, but I would like to think that we have counters to a desperate nuke attempt.

@ColdPenguin: I sincerely hope so.....wasn't there a proposal with the Reagan administration about an anti ballistic laser satellite system capable of neutralizing them? Operation Star Wars was it? I tend to believe something had to have developed there ;)

I wouldn't count on it. I would think the U.K. would have some concerns about Russia and China being the new top dogs after defeating America.

Tbh mate no fucker's likes the royal family they basically live off our taxes piss take really the equivalent of 50p a day off everyone.. Oh for sure but it's a bit much being the size we are and contributing so much we r slowly screwing our selves over by helping others or joining fights
