Is the GOP planning to serve up Kegsbreath as responsible for mismanaging the war & responsible for midterm Blue Wave?

Massie has drafted articles of impeachment for Hegseth which should have come to a vote before Congress was sent on recess prior to the midterms by Mike Johnson. That vote should finally come next week.

Trump has been probing members of Congress and some in the Pentagon re: Hegseth’s performance. It’s no secret that the Republicans’ poor performance in the midterms was largely if not primarily was due to the war with Iran. Whether true or not, Trump is now privately blaming Hegseth for pushing him into this war.

Trump’s anger over the MAGAs’ under performing in the election is shifting more Republican Congress members to point the finger at Hegseth and It’s starting to look like Trump would be willing to sacrifice Hegseth to impeachment or resignation.

Tillis was commenting about Hegseth’s incompetence today in interviews and seemed to be considering this path.

But apart from Hegseth’s fate, what is Trump thinking about this stupid war? Whether Hegseth led him there or not, Trump is trapped and sees no easy way out. Surely Trump would sacrifice Hegseth in a NY minute if it would extricate him from this wildly unpopular war especially now that he has lost both the House and the Senate.

In part due to Hegseth’s incompetence as well as his own, Trump has fired most of his Senior Leaders and he has no competent statesmen/diplomats to engage in effective diplomacy.

Is Pakistan a possible third party that could broker a peace agreement? There is no way the United States comes out of this in any way in near as strong of a position as before Trump & Netanyahu initiated this fiasco.

Iran has made their requirements clear (and frankly they seem reasonable although they do not address the nuclear issue) and they could cease hostilities in days if Trump agrees. But what about Netanyahu and does he even have authority to speak for Israel given the outcome of their election?

Dammit, Trump, what a mess you’ve made!

@MoveAlong Time is on Iran’s side. Notice that they understand politics better than tRUMP as Iran used the run up to our midterms to their advantage better than tRUMP did.

The pre-midterm cast have served their purpose and having had your knuckles rapped you now need to write off the last series as...experimental ?
A change of direction that proved unpopular to your demographic ?

Think of it as 'Bobby coming out of the shower' in Dallas the tv series of the 70's. - Thus writing off the entire series as 'all part of somebody else's dream'.
@Picklebobble2 How many times have we heard Kegsbreath say that he’s “in lock step” with Demented Donnie or that they are “in complete agreement?”

While tRUMP probably believes that if he tells Paranoid Kegsbreath to throw himself on a live grenade that he’d do it, still I am pretty sure that Demented Donnie finds him really annoying. If he finds someone to replace the drunkard, he will toss him to the lions at an opportune time without batting an eye.

Hegseth can be shelved anytime by orange monkey he sees somebody else as his bigger threat that person should be worried..guess who?

They need a scapegoat. And that can never be trump or his boss Netanyahu.
@Crazywaterspring Leading candidates: Kegsbreath, Vance, Rubio, perhaps Kennedy, Patel, Bessent…
@KunsanVeteran tRUMP views all of his underlings as disposable and potential liabilities.

Even if they are performing “adequately” if he needs a diversion or distraction from something all of his supporters are potential throwaways to get the hounds off his scent.

Need an example? Just look at his lawyers…
